I love how the song is a relatively clean lyrical banger for kids and teenagers. It’s basically got a disco/club vibe, but it’s also a rare motivational song that empowers both men and women to embrace music and just let go. This is like Footloose meets Saturday Night Fever meets 2023.

contrary to popular belief, it's not that Dua's dancing has gotten better (her choreographies are still basic at best) it's actually her stage presence and confidence that's immensely improved.dua is proof that u don't need fancy, complicated choreos to "dance better". the fact that she can twirl, bop, and do 1-2 steps confidently and make it look SO DAMN GOOD is beyonddd. mad props to the people who worked with her on her stage presence, charisma, and confidence

Oh she does. She has couple of albums and quite a few singles from before Future Nostalgia and becoming famous in the U.S. A lot of different styles... all amazing. If you do a deeper dive, you can find so many “unreleased, demos, and covers “ you won’t be able to count them. She does a cover of The Beatles “ Golden Slumbers” that’s so beautiful, it’ll melt your heart. She has several duets with various artists also. She has enough songs that were “scrapped”, she could put out a couple more albums and they’d surely be Hits. I know I sound like her Marketing Department 😁, I cant help it, she’s amazing, I love her style and incredible voice. I’m (obviously) a gigantic fan and have been since about 2018. I’ve never heard one thing from her that I didn’t like- or LOVE. Her “Back Story” is really impressive too. She’s earned where she is. Brains, talent, beauty, determination ( I could go on and on ), and works her ass off (as well as “ Dances her Ass off “ {hehe} 😆). All that and seems to a really sweet, humble, and good person.

Eilish won the awards and she wrote a great song for Barbie, but Dua Lipa's "Dance the Night" got the audience into the theaters. This is the song that helped turn Barbie into a global hit. And it's a terrific summer song. I never tire it.

1:06 “My heart could be burning but you won’t see it on my face” Damn this lyric really shows how in the introduction of the movie Barbie looked “normal” enjoying her perfect life when on the inside, she was just expierencing all these thoughts she’s never had before. And like she just masked it acting perfectly fine like she always was. And when Barbie *did* mention about dieing, everyone instantly was just suprised. Which made her have to “mask” herself more in a way. (If that makes sense) And like this is what I love so much about this song. Dua Lipa is an icon and I love all her songs. I really think this song was a great way to start the movie (other than Lizzo’s song) but like the way I love it so much is because the happy and “exciting” tone of the song really masks the lyrics that just brush past you as you listen. Like, it’s kinda some slight foreshadowing that I really like. More lyrics that “show this” ⬇️ 2:54 “When my heart breaks, you’ll never see, you’ll never see” 0:52 “When the night’s here I don’t do tears” 1:19 “Latley I’ve been moving close to the edge, still looking my best” 2:19 “Even when the tears are flowing they’re diamonds on my face” None less, the Barbie movie was amazing and definitely not what was I expecting (in a good way) and it really beat my expectations. Anyways this was just me overanalzing this song and kinda the Barbie movie in general but like I just had to, I really liked this movie and I think it’s definitely a masterpiece for what it is considering it’s just a movie based off of a doll brand. Anyways live laugh love Dua Lipa and go watch this movie

I think it’s common that studio will do some audio processing and balancing. But still I keep thinking that her voice is very suitable imho for jazz or soulful song (maybe like ‘fly me to the moon’). All in all I’m looking forward for Dua’s next project!

Am I the only male whos gonna watch the new Barbie film?? No but this song is like a whole vibe kinda matches the whole Barbie theme.
